Microsoft and Facebook team up to add social functionality to Bing

Microsoft has announced a team-up with social network giant Facebook in order to bring similar to functionality to engine searches using Microsoft’s Bing.
Starting today, Bing users now get an experience that’s customized using Facebook Instant Personalization. For now, that means searches will feature a Facebook module that shows you what your friends have liked as it relates to that search, as well as a smarter people search results.
Members of the press indicate that this move is an attempt by Microsoft to win market share from leader Google.
