Microsoft offers free WP7 devices to AT&T staff
Posted by Lawrence Bonk as Microsoft, News, Press Releases
Microsoft has reportedly given free WP7 devices to the staff of carrier AT&T to make them familiar with the platform. After all, the better the employees the easier the devices get sold.
Microsoft aims to win back its market share from rivals with the new handsets produced by manufacturers including Samsung, LG and HTC. The new handsets, which are closer in looks and feel to the Apple iPhone, will be initially available on AT&T Inc’s network.
The company has reportedly given 100 devices away to employees in the Minneapolis area. Whether or not this will translate into bigger sales remains to be seen.
