Senior Talent to Aid in Addressing Evolving SMB Solutions Marketplace
CENTENNIAL, Colo., June 24, 2008 – Verio, a leading provider of online business solutions, including hosting, application, and managed services, today announced that Wendy St. Clair Pearson has joined the company as senior director of marketing and communications and Kenneth Giffin has joined as director of marketing. Pearson and Giffin will work from the company’s corporate headquarter in Centennial, CO., and will lead the relaunch of Verio’s global marketing strategy.

Pearson joins Verio from Breakthrough Management Group International, (BMGI) a global Lean Six Sigma consulting firm, where she led the company’s marketing, branding and communications efforts since 2003. Prior to BMGI, she served as director of marketing and communications for hosting and colocation provider ViaWest, and as marketing manager at Rocky Mountain Internet, solidifying her expertise in marketing communications for the online business solutions industry. Pearson holds a Bachelor of Science, Journalism, from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.
In his role at Verio, Ken Giffin will use his more than 15 years of B2B and technology marketing experience to further enhance Verio’s new team. As director of marketing, Giffin will hold overall marketing responsibility for the Via Verio reseller program and leading the company’s product marketing .
Giffin joins Verio from Quark, where he served as vice president of marketing. Prior to Quark, he held several marketing leadership positions in General Electric’s Access Distribution division, involving corporation marketing and communications, customer loyalty and demand generation. As an expert in developing high-performance programs and teams, Giffin has helped companies such as 3Com, American Express and Sun Microsystems navigate significant global, distribution, technology, and marketing changes.

Centennial, CO May 26, 2008 – Verio, a leading provider of business solutions online, including hosting, applications and managed services, has been recognized by Everything Channel’s VARBusiness magazine as one of North America’s top technology integrators. Verio placed number 116 in the 14th annual VARBusiness 500 ranking.
The VAR 500 list details the leading revenue producers among technology integrators and technology Solution Provider organizations in North America. The list’s ranking is based on gross worldwide revenue of hardware and software sales, as well as earnings from professional and managed information technology (IT) services.
“The indirect sales Channel for technology products and services drives two-thirds of all technology sales in the U.S., and the Solution Providers who make up the Channel are the primary influencers of business technology decision making. This is why the VAR 500 is such an important list, because these are the top Solution Providers in the industry, and we salute each of them for their stellar performance,” said Robert C. The 2008 VARBusiness 500 list includes 113 new companies with 10.6 percent of them in the Top 100 of the list. In addition, the starting point of the list – the revenue of company number 500 – rose to $33.4 million, up 35.2 percent, from $24.7 million in 2007. This increase reflects the strength and robust growth of the technology reseller Channel.

To complete the 2008 ranking of the 500 largest North American solution providers, system integrators, VARs and IT consultants, companies were asked to complete an online questionnaire to determine prequalification. In February 2008 VARBusiness conducted extensive research and analyzed the data. Independent data sourcing (e.g., SEC filings, annual reports, etc.) also was conducted. Finalists were ranked according to their fiscal year 2007 revenue, based only on their reseller-related services business.

CENTENNIAL, Colo., Feb. 21, 2008 – Verio Inc., a leading provider of online business solutions, including hosting, applications and managed services, today announced the appointment of Steve Renda as vice president, sales and marketing. Renda brings to Verio more than 20 years of experience in the technology and telecommunications industries, and will lead Verio’s worldwide direct, wholesale and channel sales strategy and operations, as well as the company’s business development and marketing efforts. He will report to Verio’s chief operating officer Dennis Boyle and will be based out of the company’s office in the Denver area.
Prior to joining Verio, Renda served as the senior vice president of sales and marketing for MX Logic, where he was responsible for growing the company’s managed security services in North America, Europe and Asia. Renda also led the company through multiple product launches and established its software-as-a-service (SaaS) delivery strategy and partnership programs.
Renda’s background in software and managed services includes an extensive tenure at Sprint Corporation, where he developed a broad general management background including leadership roles in engineering, product development, marketing, strategic planning, finance and sales.
Renda also has a strong background in corporate development, working as vice president of marketing and corporate development for WiFi manufacturer Vivato Networks, as well as co-founding Vistard, Inc., a start-up company that delivered wide-area broadband wireless network services.
“Steve has a proven track record in delivering managed services and business solutions to the small and mid-market business sector. Capabilities and Customization with Release Of New Control Panel for Verio Shared Services
Centennial, Colo., January 3, 2008 – Verio Inc., a leading provider of business solutions online, including hosting, applications and managed services, today announced it will help its customers gain greater flexibility, more customization and increased functionality through a new, enhanced control panel for their Verio services. Managing an online account is now quicker, easier and more productive with Verio’s industry-leading e-mail, website and hosting account management tool.
The redesigned interface is simplified and fast, especially when loading large amounts of data. The “one-click-away” layout and graphical icons allow customers to easily locate various management functions and features.
With the growing importance of email, small and mid-market business customers require solutions that will allow them to easily manage their in-boxes. Through the new Verio control panel, customers can set filters to allow or deny specific text in the subject line and also allocate rules for mails with specific words to automatically drop into specific folders. This increases efficiency by alerting users to important mail based on key words and folder sorting as well as reduces the risk of email security threats by efficiently dealing with spam and virus-loaded emails.
