CREDANT Technologies, a data protection company, has announced the launch of the open Beta program for CREDANT Shield for Windows Server. This military-grade data security solution protects sensitive data on hard drives and on removable media. This follows the recent release of Enterprise Server 7.1.1, CREDANT’s flagship product, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure encryption software for VDI cloud infrastructures. CREDANT Shield for Windows Server will automatically encrypt data on Windows servers as well as data moving on or off server hard drives to removable media. The company is on a roll.

“Data stored on Windows Servers pose a unique set of security issues. Systems can be remotely or locally accessed, resulting in compromise or theft of an organization’s most sensitive data,” said Chris Burchett, CTO and co-founder of CREDANT Technologies. “CREDANT Shield for Windows Server ensures that data at rest on Windows Servers and data on transportable devices is secure from accidental and malicious breaches, putting management and staff at ease.”
