TORRANCE, Calif., May 1, 2009 – The Technology Council of Southern California yesterday namedLiveOffice an esteemed finalist in the Emerging Software Company of the Year category. The awards were presented at the Technology Council’s annual gala event on Thursday, April 30, in downtown Los Angeles at the historic Millennium Biltmore Hotel. Now in its 15th year, the Technology Industry Awards recognize Southern California-based technology leaders that have made outstanding contributions to the industry over the past year.
“We’re honored to be recognized by the Technology Council and are proud to be a part of Southern California’s innovative software community,” said LiveOffice CEO, Nick Mehta. “Since our founding in 1998, we have helped more than 8,500 clients meet their email archiving and compliance requirements while maintaining a client-retention rate of 99-percent. We are grateful for this recognition and want to thank both our clients for their continued loyalty and our employees for their tremendous dedication and hard work.”
Cofounded a decade ago by Alexander Rusich and Matt Smith, who now serve as chief visionary officer and chief operating officer respectively, LiveOffice was one of the first technology companies in the financial services industry to recognize that software could be effectively and securely delivered as a service via the Internet. Today, the company has grown into one of the industry’s leading email archiving and compliance providers, helping thousands of clients across a range of businesses manage their ongoing messaging needs.
According to Rick Sharga, president, Technology Council, “It’s especially gratifying to see how successful this year’s finalists have been in spite of the economic climate. The Technology Council of Southern California is pleased to honor LiveOffice as a technology leader and innovator from Southern California in 2009.”
