“This new solution from Microsoft gives us the remote access we need to stay connected. We can now seamlessly access e-mails, documents, and schedules from all of our branch offices.”
Jody Morrissey, Owner, JPA Landscape & Construction

JPA carries out commercial landscaping services across the San Francisco Bay area. As the company grew to more than 100 employees, it faced challenges with e-mail, file sharing, calendar scheduling and providing stable remote access for a branch office. After implementing Microsoft Windows Small Business Server with terminal services, JPA gained more productivity, improved scheduling of projects and solid remote access for branch workers.

Business Needs
JPA Landscape & Construction provides a full range of commercial landscape services throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. As the company grew to more than 100 employees and opened a branch office, it found that the Microsoft technology it had installed many years before no longer was meeting its needs and was eager to upgrade from Microsoft Windows 2000 to a later, more advanced Windows server.

With more people and more locations, JPA was having difficulty in its current configuration with e-mail, file sharing and calendar scheduling. Productivity was suffering as an increasing number of employees spent hours trying to share more files. Customer relationships were impacted because scheduling with clients was uncertain when e-mail and calendaring were overtaxed. Additionally, remote access for the branch office was sporadic. JPA looked to a more powerful and flexible server to support its growing staff both in the main office and remotely.

Solution
Working with Microsoft Gold Certified partner Lanlogic, of Livermore, California, JPA implemented Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 (SBS) with terminal services to enable secure access to the server from remote sites. Lanlogic developed a new IT network for JPA that created a truly collaborative work environment with safe and seamless remote access for the branch office. All of the user profiles and data were migrated to SBS so that users could retain the same identities and group permissions they had been using. Within two weeks of launching the implementation, JPA had begun operating with its new IT network.

Benefits
With its advanced Microsoft technology, JPA is functioning much more productively and is able to attract more new business than it could manage previously. The solution is helping to drive process improvements, cost reductions in regaining lost time, a stable e-mail and calendaring system, and solid contact with branch office employees.

  • JPA is gaining improvements in business intelligence, communication and collaboration.
By eliminating the time previously spent locating lost information and making duplicate entries, JPA has reduced its costs.
  • The company now is better able to schedule client projects for efficiency.
  • Workers in the branch office now have highly reliable access to the server. As a result, the process of working with company files, e-mail, calendars and client contacts has become consistent and seamless.

June 23, 2008 Garden City, NY, and Livermore, CA -Proginet Corporation (OTCBB: PRGF), a leading developer of enterprise software for advanced managed file transfer and security applications, and Lanlogic, Inc., an innovative provider of hosted Microsoft Exchange solutions, today announced a new partnership to deliver hosted e-mail attachment management solutions to businesses of all sizes. Through this agreement, Lanlogic will offer Proginet’s CFI Slingshot to customers of its hosted Microsoft Exchange services, enabling users to easily exchange files of any size within and outside their organizations.

Lanlogic provides hosted services and technology support to over 4,000 customers worldwide. Its dedicated Exchange server hosting programs provide customers with the same IT foundation as the world’s largest companies without the complexities and costs of maintaining the systems themselves. By adding Proginet’s Slingshot solution to its hosted offerings for Microsoft Exchange users, Lanlogic will enable its customers to send and receive large files without the need to deploy and manage additional software locally within their organizations.

“With Slingshot, Proginet has an innovative solution that addresses the major attachment management challenges faced by businesses,” said Joe Foos, Director of Sales and Marketing for Lanlogic. “At Lanlogic, we recognize that as the size of files exchanged by businesses continues to grow, so too must our ability to provide customers with the best solutions for exchanging them. Partnering with Proginet gives Lanlogic a distinct competitive advantage by helping its customers overcome the file-size limitations enforced by most e-mail systems. This will enable our customers to conduct business more efficiently.”

The hosted e-mail market represents a significant growth opportunity for CFI Slingshot. According to recent research by Gartner, “Driven by dropping prices and new vendors, the market for hosted e-mail mailboxes is poised for rapid growth over the next five years, from 1% of enterprise seats in 2007 to 20% in 2019.” *

“Lanlogic has a strong history of leadership in the hosted Exchange market,” stated Kevin Bohan, Chief Information Officer for Proginet. “By incorporating Slingshot into their solution, they completely eliminate file-size limitations for their clients. In a market that’s becoming increasingly competitive, this translates into a major competitive differentiator. In addition, the partnership enables Proginet to gain a solid foothold in the rapidly growing market for hosted e-mail solutions. We look forward to working together closely to solve the attachment-management challenges of our mutual customers.”

About Lanlogic
Lanlogic was founded in 1995 as a network service company. This was at the beginning of the Internet revolution and the company’s original focus was on bringing e-mail and Web browsing services to the marketplace. In the process of doing this, the company discovered that most customer networks were not properly configured to efficiently leverage the Internet, and that the ISP’s of the day were so overwhelmed that they could not provide an acceptable level of service. To solve these problems, Lanlogic decided to build its own ISP network and to expand its consulting services to provide full support for its customer’s networks. Over time, the company has proven capable of providing a much higher level of service at a lower cost by combining both disciplines. In 2001, the company began offering its ISP and hosting services to consultants and integrators looking for a partner rather than just another vendor. Lanlogic currently has customers located in all 50 states and in 20 countries. For more information, visit www.lanlogic.com.

NOVEMBER 19, 2007 SUNNYVALE, CA - LIVERMORE, CA -To accelerate its rapid growth, commercial contractor Trim Tech has deployed a secure infrastructure from SonicWALL, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNWL) to provide high-performance connectivity and protection for its broadband network. A comprehensive set of small and mid-sized business (SMB) solutions from SonicWALL now provides Trim Tech with the ability to deliver improved employee productivity, customer satisfaction and component supplier workflow while insulating them from exposure to malware, loss of vital data, or vulnerability from email threats.

Since 1986, Trim Tech, Inc. (http://www.trimtech.com) has been a leading commercial subcontractor specializing in the sales, distribution and installation of architectural doors, frames and hardware in the San Francisco Bay Area. The firm has grown to nine outlets, providing services to general contractors, owners and property managers for industrial, commercial, tenant improvement, and public work projects such as hospitals and schools. Maintaining employee productivity and customer service levels, while protecting vital data assets as it continues to expand, is a prime objective for the company.

The need for fast transmission of design plans and component specifications, and the distributed nature of Trim Tech’s job sites had led the company to transition to high capacity T1 broadband communications. While the move to broadband brought immediate communications improvements, it also increased Trim Tech’s vulnerability to malware, spam, spyware and other Internet-borne threats. With business protection a prime concern, they turned to SonicWALL Gold Medallion partner Lanlogic. Lanlogic deployed a full suite of SonicWALL security appliances and software designed to keep Trim Tech safe and in control of their business data.

“We recommended SonicWALL technology because it delivers real benefits for growing businesses,” said Alex Kokin of Lanlogic. “Their products are easy to manage and monitor, the user interface is simple, and they provide the most comprehensive threat protection. The real value of this network is that supports an immediate improvement in employee productivity, which is the strongest ROI for a business owner.”

Powerful, easily managed Unified Threat Management (UTM) firewalls, automatic data backup and recovery devices, email security appliances, and secure remote access appliances now protect Trim Tech’s head office and branch locations. Lanlogic upgraded Trim Tech’s existing SonicWALL UTM firewall to a SonicWALL PRO 4100. To provide streamlined, secure access for employees working from distributed and mobile locations, Lanlogic installed a SonicWALL SSL VPN 2000 secure remote access appliance. Three SonicWALL data backup and recovery appliances were deployed to deliver fast, simple backup and recovery for desktop computers at the click of a mouse, protect their key ERP application, Microsoft Dynamics, and provide secure offsite backup at the offices of Trim Tech’s CPA’s offices. A SonicWALL Email Security appliance protects Trim Tech’s inbound and outbound email communications.

“Within the first day of installing the Email Security 400 appliance, we blocked over 35000 spam emails as well as several sophisticated phishing attacks,” said Alex Kokin. “Our goal is to help our clients get the most out of their technology dollars while realizing as many productivity enhancements as possible. Our SMB customers need streamlined, powerful solutions that are affordable, practical and scalable, and SonicWALL’s products meet that requirement. With SonicWALL’s Global Management System software, we can manage each SonicWALL device – as we do for Trim Tech – without being on the customer’s premise, allowing our company to provide immediate intervention and remediation against security threats.”

Cyndy Thomas, Director of Operations at Trim Tech noted, “Business protection is at the top of our mind. As we grow, we have become more dependent on technology and it is critical to have a partner like Lanlogic that looks out for our best interests both in systems advice and in selecting the best infrastructure. SonicWALL and Lanlogic provided us with the best-integrated performance and at a far better price than competitive offerings. Their products and services give us the peace of mind to focus on running our business and our commitment to service excellence without being distracted by IT or security issues.”

Dave Parry, SonicWALL’s chief technologist , commented, “We are seeing many more SMBs using higher bandwidth, which as well as being a huge business enabler also increases the need for sophisticated network protection. The SMB IT model looks more and more like that of enterprises, with data the most valuable business asset and complex IT requirements driven by the need to remain competitive. SonicWALL’s products are designed to meet the changing needs and growth objectives of small businesses by providing enterprise-class protection.”

About SonicWALL, Inc.

In August 2005, the United States Congress passed the Energy Policy Act, which changes the start and end of Daylight Saving Time (DST) as observed in the United States. Some additional countries/regions are following the U.S. change. As a result, DST will start three weeks earlier on March 11, 2007, and end one week later on November 4, 2007 – resulting in a new DST period that is four weeks longer than previously observed. These dates are referred to as the extended DST period.

All systems depend on international timekeeping standard
Outlook calendar and system times will be affected.

Unless certain updates are applied to each of your servers, workstations and mobile devices, it is likely that the time zone settings for the respective system clocks may be incorrect during this four week period. When your time zone settings are incorrect, your clock may be off by one hour, and certain applications running on your Windows-based devices, computers and servers may not display the correct time (i.e. Outlook appointments, etc). To address this, Microsoft is providing many free updates and tools that will update your system automatically. While the change in daylight saving time applies to the U.S. and Canada, the change may impact customers based outside North America.

March 14th, 2006 LIVERMORE, CA – LANLOGIC announced today that it has achieved the third milestone in Microsoft’s Partner Program. .
