Appointment Highlights Company’s Growth as Leadership Team Expands

GULF BREEZE, FL—September 10, 2009—AppRiver, LLC, a leading provider of e-mail messaging and Web security solutions, today announced that Scott Cutler, formerly AppRiver’s Executive Vice President (EVP), has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer (COO).

As EVP, Cutler was responsible for directing global strategy and overseeing channel distribution for the company. Since joining AppRiver in 2003, he has been instrumental in building the company’s worldwide customer base to more than 40,000, which includes businesses, government agencies, educational institutions and non-profit organizations.

In his new role, Cutler will focus on day-to-day operational activities, including expense, cost and margin control, revenue and sales growth and monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management. He will oversee the development, design and overall improvement of AppRiver’s e-mail and Web security solutions.

Cutler has more than two decades of experience in the technology and security fields. Prior to joining AppRiver, he served as the Director of North American Sales, Eastern Division at Connected Corporation, a leading provider of storage software for automated protection, archiving and recovery of distributed data. Cutler has also held positions at National Business Group, Inc. (NBG), Eicon Technology, Inc. and Microcom, Inc., where he secured a number of Fortune 500 clients across industries such as technology, telecommunications, travel, and financial services.
Cutler received a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Physical Science from University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.
