IMConferencing Integrates with Google Talk

Posted by Exchange Hosting Reviews as LiveOffice, Press Releases

TORRANCE, Calif., August 25, 2005 - LiveOffice Corp. (www.liveoffice.com) today announced upcoming plans to integrate its IMConferencing (www.imconferencing.com) web conferencing system with Google Talk.

IMConferencing’s latest interoperability capability will allow Google Talk users to instantly connect to IMConferencing’s powerful web, audio and video conferencing platform, making it easy for users to launch full-featured online meetings and collaboration sessions to one or several participants. Only the host of the IMConferencing session needs to be a registered user, which gives participants even quicker access to the collaboration session because they do not have to pre-register with IMConferencing in order to use the service.

Once a meeting host using Google Talk clicks the Start Meeting button in their instant messenger window, participants can join an IMConferencing meeting and begin using a variety of collaboration tools, including:

  • Mixed telephone and VoIP audio conferences that allow multiple participants to connect into a single teleconference (e.g. Participant A can connect via standard telephone, while Participant B can connect into the same audio conference via VoIP)
  • Multi-point and hi-definition video conferences that accurately duplicate the in-person meeting experience
  • Desktop/application sharing that allows the host and participants to jointly view and collaborate on any application or document from their respective PCs
  • Full file transfer capabilities that allow participants to quickly distribute important documents from their PC

“LiveOffice’s IMConferencing picks up where Google Talk leaves off and supports Google’s vision to simplify instant communication across the web,” said Steve Uhring, vice president of sales and marketing for LiveOffice Corp. “IMConferencing’s full integration with Google Talk makes it easier than ever before to launch instant web collaboration sessions to multiple participants and gives users fast access to the web, audio and video conferencing tools they need to make their day more productive and efficient.”

Pricing and Availability
The current version of IMConferencing, which competes with WebEx and Microsoft LiveMeeting, is available now at a cost of $50 per seat license per month. The integrated version of IMConferencing and Google Talk will be available in Q4 2005.

August 2, 2005 SAN FRANCISCO - New designation distinguishes Lanlogic as expert in small-business solutions and services. Microsoft Corp. announced Lanlogic Inc. has become the first Small Business Specialist in the San Francisco Bay Area. To attain this new designation, Lanlogic Inc. has demonstrated expertise in planning and building solutions for small businesses. As part of the Small Business Specialist Community, Lanlogic will receive a rich set of benefits from Microsoft, including access to training specifically designed for the small-business industry, small-business marketing materials for reuse, special partner offers, and the ability to use the Small Business Specialist logo in marketing materials, which can help give the company a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

The Small Business Specialist Community, available as a competency-like designation as part of the Microsoft® Partner Program, was developed in response to input from customers and partners that expressed a need to build easier connections that enable small-business customers to quickly and easily identify technology partners best suited to support them.

Small businesses are looking for partner companies that understand their unique business needs,” said Jon Witty, Northern California Area General Manager, Microsoft Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partner Group. “With resources like the Small Business Specialist Community and the partner locator tool on the Microsoft Small Business Center Web site, it will be much easier for small businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area to identify local partners that are best able to address their specific needs. We are confident this offering will help Lanlogic reach its full potential by creating more visibility, opportunity and demand in the local small-business segment.”

“Lanlogic is extremely pleased with our status as a new Small Business Specialist,” said Joe Foos, Director of Sales & Marketing. “This special designation allows Lanlogic to effectively promote ourselves to customers as having proven expertise in delivering high-value, strategic solutions for small businesses. For customers in the San Francisco Bay Area, Small Business Specialist status provides Lanlogic with early line of sight to new products, services and programs from Microsoft, which can extend the value we bring to our client relationships.”

As one of the requirements for attaining Small Business Specialist status, Lanlogic had to pass Microsoft’s Small Business Sales and Marketing Skills Assessment, designed to test the company’s knowledge of the dynamics and dependencies of the small-business market, as well as the value to small business of several software solutions, including Windows® XP Professional, Microsoft Office 2003 and Windows Small Business Server 2003. In addition, at least one individual in the company had to pass a certification exam that measures the ability to design and implement solutions for the small and medium-sized business by using Windows Small Business Server 2003 and the Windows Server System™.
