Annual Honor Identifies Apptix as One of the Top 20 Fastest Growing
Technology Solution Providers in North America
Herndon, VA, September 18, 2007
Apptix (OSE:APP), the premier provider of on-demand business communications solutions for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), today announced that it has been recognized by CMP Media’s Computer Reseller News (CRN) as a “2007 Fast-Growth 100″ company. The prestigious annual list ranked technology solutions providers by revenue growth for 2005 and 2006 and recognized the top 100 companies that are developing custom applications, vertical market solutions and generating industry-leading sales volume in the technology services areas. Apptix moved up to #14 on the annual list, from last year’s ranking of #36, by achieving an astounding 272.63 percent two-year growth
“Making the CRN 2007 Fast-Growth 100 list is a great honor. Our success is a testament to our ability to deliver versatile business communications solutions and unsurpassed customer service that meet the unique needs of the SMB market,” said Amir Hudda, CEO of Apptix. “The SMB market is just now realizing the benefits of the Software as a Service (SaaS) model for enterprise-class business communications solutions for Email, Voice, Collaboration, Mobile Instant Messaging (IM) and Mobile Messaging. Given our suite of Web-based solutions, Apptix is perfectly positioned to continue to capitalize on the growth within the on-demand market.”
Over the past year, Apptix has taken concrete steps to build out its comprehensive portfolio of business communications solutions for the SMB market. The company’s unprecedented growth has been marked by continued portfolio expansion through a series of investments, including the acquisition of WebMessenger, a technology leader in Mobile IM and Presence Management, and Mi8, a long-time provider of on-demand email and collaboration solutions. The foundation of success built in 2006 has continued into 2007. Key accomplishments in the first half of 2007 include:
* Launch of VoIP Services - In March, the Company introduced Apptix Voice, a new hosted Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solution, to provide customers with reliable, affordable and feature-rich IP telephony services. As announced, Apptix Voice is initially available through its MailStreet division and is built on the enterprise-class BroadSoft platform. Apptix Voice is delivered through a SaaS model, similar to the Company’s email and collaboration solutions.
* Acquisition of WebMessenger - In May, Apptix announced the acquisition of WebMessenger, Inc., a market-leading technology company with a suite of Mobile IM products that work across more devices, platforms, and public & private IM networks than any other provider. WebMessenger provides Apptix with market-ready mobile messaging & collaboration products and extensive engineering expertise in critical emerging Mobile IM and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) markets.
* Sales Success - Apptix continued to attain both bookings and revenue success throughout the first half of 2007. In Q2 of 2007, the company achieved significant bookings growth across its divisions of MailStreet, ASP-One and Mi8, resulting in a net increase in provisioned seats of 8% compared to 4% in the first quarter, and an increase in monthly recurring revenue of 12% compared to 7% in the first quarter.
CRN’s Fast-Growth 100 identifies the 100 fastest growing solution providers across all specialty areas and business models. The profiles and data developed by CRN’s editorial staff provide insights into which models and technology are proving to be the most lucrative. Apptix will be recognized by CRN for its accomplishments at the CRN Channel Fast Growth 100 Executive Summit, which will be held on September 18, 2007 in New York City, NY.
“What makes this list so unique, and compelling, is that it represents such a large cross-section of the channel universe. This list recognizes the Solution Providers that have worked tirelessly to support their customers. We salute them on their superior growth,” said Robert C. Demarzo, vice president and editorial director of CMP Media.
