Magazine Ranks Apptix as the 8th Fastest Growing Company in the Industry
Herndon, VA, October 11, 2007
Apptix (OSE:APP), the premier provider of on-demand business communications solutions for Small and Medium-sized Businesses (SMBs), today announced its inclusion on the Software 500, Software Magazine’s ranking of the world’s largest software and service providers. Based on its 143.3 percent revenue growth in 2006, Apptix was recognized as the 8th fastest growing company on the 2006 Software 500 list and as the 3rd fastest growing company in the $10 - $30 million revenue category, with total revenue of
The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world’s largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing. The Software 500 helps CIOs, senior IT managers and IT staff research and create a short list of business partners and can be used as a quick reference of vendor viability.
“The 2007 Software 500 results show that growth in the software and services industry was healthy from 2006 to 2007, the ranking year. The industry continues to be dynamic with more than 98 new companies on the list this year for the first time,” says John P. Desmond, editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. “Total employee head count is up 14.7 percent from the previous year’s Software 500, reversing the decline of last year.”
“Our inclusion on Software Magazine’s prestigious list of the world’s foremost software and service providers further illustrates the unprecedented growth that Apptix has achieved over the past year,” said Amir Hudda, CEO of Apptix. “This momentum has continued in the first half of 2007, with revenues of $17.3M - a 33 percent increase over the second half of 2006. This growth, and our company’s associated success, validates the fact that SMBs are increasingly demanding enterprise-class business communications solutions that are affordable, secure and reliable.”
In addition to the Software 500 award, Apptix has received many other awards and industry recognitions over the past year. CMP Media’s CRN included Apptix on its 2006 and 2007 Fast-Growth 100 lists and Apptix was recognized as a 2006 Codie Award Finalist by the Software & Information Industry Association. Apptix was also named the 2006 Microsoft Sales and Marketing Partner of the Year for Advanced Infrastructure Solutions.
The ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue for 2006. This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on their total corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such as hardware. The financial information was gathered by a survey prepared by King Content Co. and posted at www.Softwaremag.com, as well as from public documents.
